Set-Up Technician
Location: Elgin, IL. 60124
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
Hours: 07:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Pay: $18 p/h.
Shift: 1st.
Description:
A reputable plastic mold manufacturing company is currently seeking a skilled technician for plastic injection machine set-up.
Set-Up Personnel are responsible for the movement of mold tooling and auxiliary equipment to and from the molding presses and to set up the mold in the presses.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or 12 years formal education preferred.
- Must have good basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Bi-Lingual a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of injection molding experience is preferred.
- Must have mechanical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 60+ pounds to chest height.
- Able to climb up and down ladders.
- Must be able to safely and competently operate fork lift.
- Able to walk and/or stand for up to 8 hours.
General Requirements:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Follow rules and principals of OSHA; participate in OSHA compliance and training as required, needed or assigned.
- Perform all job requirements and interdepartmental functions in accordance with ISO procedures; assist in ISO procedural changes and training as required, needed or assigned.
