As a Material Handler at our leading company specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of fans and blowers for residential and commercial applications across various industries, you will play a crucial role in our production team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and timely material flow throughout the manufacturing process. This includes receiving, inspecting, and storing raw materials, as well as distributing components to the respective production areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to the company’s safety and quality standards. Your ability to effectively manage materials and collaborate with other team members will be instrumental in the ongoing success of our manufacturing operation.
Requirements and Experience:
- Stand-up/ Reach forklift experience.
- Education Technical: Preferably, a high school diploma or technical education in logistics, warehouse management, or a related field.
- Material Handling Experience: Previous experience working as a Material Handler or in a similar role in materials management within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles, including efficient storage techniques.
- Equipment Handling Skills: Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and conveyor systems.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to workplace safety practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain an organized warehouse and track material locations.
- Teamwork: Skill in collaborating with other members of the production and logistics team to ensure efficient material flow.
- Physical Capability: Being able to perform tasks that may involve lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
