Prep – Line Operator
Location: Sycamore, IL. 60178.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
Hours: 11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Schedule: Monday to Friday.
Pay: $18 p/h.
Shift: 3rd.
Description:
Metal specialist company is seeking candidates to operate and supervise the production line in the preparation phase.
Main activities:
- Weld material to liter.
- Prep coils for mill/ Tension Lever/ Electrical Furnace and Gas furnace.
- Prep rewind after spotting defect.
Job Requirements:
- 1 – 2 year experience dealing with metal coils
- High Schcool Diploma.
- Must be able to pass the company mechanical test.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Sufficient ability to maintain records and reports.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
– PPE: Steel toe shoes/ Safety glasses.
– Lifting Requirement: Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
– Language Requirement: English preferably or bilingual.
Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of measurement tools ( Calipers, micrometers, ect).
- Understanding of production procedures.
- Analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations ( e.g., constant use of protective gear).
